[We] first heard Clint speak at a VHCA seminar 1 year ago - took a suggestion and put it into practice - let staff hire staff - started this immediately after the session - so we finished the year lowering our turnover from 47.4% building wide to 29.7% - and reduced LNA turnover by 13% alone!! Staff very much are vested in new employees and their success is the vetern staff goal now - much happier workplace as well - not constantly retraining.

Thank you for your support!

Welcome to the Clintcast Blog

Let’s talk about healthcare and your exciting role in it!

Part of what makes the Internet such a great way to communicate information is its ability to connect to additional, related information. We can often follow a topic further to a great depth limited solely by our available time and motivation. Along this line, sometimes 10-12 minutes in a podcast episode regarding a particular topic is not enough to cover concepts as completely as desired.

Thankfully, the web provides lots of ways to provide additional content, in varied forms, to supplement other content and further extend knowledge. Here at Clintcast.com, you can find supplemental articles in the Clintcast Articles page that relate to ad extend many of the topics addressed in the podcasts. Likewise, the Forums provide an excellent way to socially draw upon your fellow Care Crowd members to glean more insights about these ideas and strategies, especially in real-world implementation. Be sure to check out these additional resources to more fully investigate the issues discussed in the podcasts. Better still, share them with others while adding your knowledge and experience to the package!

This April, I was interviewed in an article by Gary Tetz in Long-Term Living magazine. It is a fun, yet engaging article in which we discuss the current economic state and its effects on the healthcare profession, the opportunities that are presenting themselves as a result as well as tips for weathering this economic storm. I encourage you to give it a read! If you do not subscribe to the magazine, you can find the article online as well. Enjoy!

If you have additional thoughts/comments about the article, please share! Add your comments below! Thanks!

Mystery Shopping

In today’s (3/26/09) podcast episode, the concept of Mystery Shops is discussed. This is a great tool in helping you see areas and opportunities for growth in your organization in a clear-cut, measurable and unbiased way. In supplement to this episode, an article entitled Leveraging the Value of Mystery Shopping has been put on the Clintcast.com website to further elaborate on this powerful and insightful process. If you have utilized this concept in your own organization, we would love to hear your thoughts and outcomes! You can add your comments here on the blog entry or share them in the Clintcast forums! Either way, please let us know how Mystery Shopping has impacted your effectiveness!
